Dealer of the Year Report Overview
The Dealer of the Year report in the Dealer Panel provides information on your Dealer of the Year rank for the 2024 awards. Scroll down for more info on how to access and use this report.
How to access the Dealer of the Year Report
To access the report, follow the instructions below:
Log into the Dealer Panel with an account that has Admin access.
Hover over the Reporting tab in the top navigation and select Dealer of the Year from the drop-down.
How it works
Under the report's title, there are three filter options available: Year, Category, and Make. The Year filter allows you to view the winners of the current year or previous years. The Category drop-down lets you see your ranking at the Regional, National, or State level. If you choose National or State from the Category drop-down, you will be prompted to select the Make of the award you are interested in, as these two awards are specific to vehicle makes. Only the car makes that your dealership offers on DealerRater will be listed in this drop-down. Once you have chosen your Category and Make (if necessary), simply click on the "Submit" button to create the report.
Report Table
Once you’ve submitted your filter selections, a table showing the top five ranked dealerships based on your Category/Make selections will be displayed. These dealerships will be ordered based on their PowerScoreTM. In the case that your dealership does not rank within the top five, your dealership will be added as a sixth listing at the bottom of the list, showing how you compare to the other dealerships.
Below are descriptions of each of the fields displayed in the data table:
Ranking: Where each dealership ranks for the Dealer of the Year award, compared to other dealers within the same Category/Make, based on their PowerScoreTM.
# of Reviews: The review count for each dealership for the calendar year of the award, specific to the Make selected in the filter. If selecting the “Regional” category, all reviews the dealerships have received will be counted as the Regional Dealer of the Year award is not a make-based award.
Response Rate: The percentage of reviews submitted for your dealership that has one response by the dealership. For more info, click here.
Avg Rating: The average rating of the reviews included in the calculation, based on the Make selected in the filter, for the calendar year of the award.
PowerScoreTM: The PowerScore calculation is based on both the dealer’s reviews, average rating, and review response rate which is used to rank dealers and determine the Dealer of the Year winner. For more information, click here.
