What is AutoResponse?

AutoResponse is an entirely hands-off solution to having all your reviews responded to on the sites that matter - DealerRater, Google, Facebook, and Cars.com. With AutoResponse, our team of experts will read every review you receive from those platforms and craft a thoughtful, personal response that directly addresses the review. Every response is written by a human, so there are no canned responses or bots. Each response will also include specific keywords or phrases that will boost your SEO, such as your dealership name, the make/model of the vehicle, the employees name if they were tagged in the review, etc.

How does it work?

Our team of Responders will see your reviews in a queue they have access to, so you’ll never need to provide them with your login credentials. Every review you receive on DealerRater, Google, Facebook, and Cars.com will be responded to within 24 hours, with the exception of weekends. Any reviews received over the weekend will be responded to on the following business day.

If the review is positive, our response will post immediately where the review was posted. Your customers or other shoppers reading your reviews will never know that these reviews weren’t responded to within the walls of your dealership.

Responses to negative reviews will trigger a notification to the admins of your dealership, informing you of the negative review and that you have a suggested response that needs approval. This notification will be sent via email and a push notification in the DealerRater for Dealers Mobile app. From here, all you have to do is click on the notification to view our suggested response and approve it with the simple click of a button. If, for any reason, you’d like to edit the response in any way, you’ll have the ability to do so by clicking or tapping into our suggested response from the same screen. It’s that simple.

Keep in mind that review responses don’t just benefit the customer who wrote the review. They also help all of the potential customers reading your reviews. So, any suggested responses to negative reviews that go unanswered will automatically post after 72 hours.

Additionally, your dealership will have an opportunity to provide any guidelines you’d like us to consider while responding to reviews for you, such as any tag lines you use in positive reviews, or specific signatures or contact information for sales, service, or negative reviews.

What do we need from you?

All that’s needed from the dealership is to make sure you’ve connected your Google, Facebook, and Cars.com pages in the Dealer Panel. If you prefer not to connect these pages, we will still respond to all of your DealerRater reviews, however, connecting all of these pages within the Dealer Panel will maximize your SEO value and end up saving your dealership time so you can focus on what you do best, selling cars!

Of course, if you need any help or have questions along the way, feel free to reach out to help@dealerrater.com.
