How to Respond to Reviews
Responding to reviews helps you improve your reputation, SEO, and customer loyalty. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to respond to reviews in the Dealer Panel.
Log into the Dealer Panel with an account that has Admin access.
Navigate to the Reviews tab in the header.
Select All Reviews from the drop-down.
You can respond to DealerRater, Cars.com, Facebook, and Google reviews on this page.
DealerRater Review Details
DealerRater reviews have unique features that help you leverage review content as marketing material or allow for feedback to enhance your customer experience.
At the top of each review, you will see the overall review score and a description of the experience from the customer. If it is a LotShot review and a photo was included in the review, it is displayed to the right of the review description.
On the right side of the review, you will see employees tagged in the review and their individual ratings by the customer. Below the employee ratings, you will see sub-categories with ratings that correspond to a car purchase or service appointment.
At the bottom, you can respond publicly or privately to your customers. In most cases, you will want to leave a public response. However, we have an option to respond to the reviewer with a private response. This is a great way to get additional feedback from the customer and help resolve the issue. Once you feel like the issue has been resolved, you can request a review update from the customer.
